The NDSU Extension is offering free suicide prevention webinars aimed at supporting mental health in rural and agricultural communities.
These 90-minute sessions are part of the nationally recognized QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) program, which trains participants to recognize signs of mental health struggles and respond effectively. The webinars are scheduled for August 14 at 1 p.m. and September 17 at 10 a.m., with a focus on helping those in farming, ranching, or related industries manage stress and emotional challenges.
The training includes a Q&A session and is open to anyone interested in learning suicide prevention skills. Participation is free, funded by the USDA, but limited to the first 30 people who register.
