Jamestown’s Buffalo Days celebration returns this weekend from Friday through Sunday, with most activities on Saturday. The community festival honors the city’s nickname as “Buffalo City” and centers around the World’s Largest Buffalo monument.
Saturday kicks off with a pancake breakfast at the fire department from 7 a.m. to noon, followed by the main parade at 9:30 a.m. starting from 2nd Avenue. After the parade, McElroy Park hosts the largest vendor show in eight years, featuring food trucks, games, and craft vendors, plus live music from the Stick Ponies from 1 to 3 p.m.
Other Saturday highlights include the Mini Art Hunt starting at 10 a.m., where participants search for 12 artworks hidden in city parks using clues posted on social media. The Buffalo Rally Show and Shine car show runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with no registration required. Historic activities include hands-on exhibits at the 1883 Courthouse and Tent City demonstrations at Fort Seward.
The weekend also features Thrivefest North, a three-day Christian music festival at the fairgrounds, and performances of “Willy Wonka Jr.” at The Arts Center.
