As of 2:48 p.m., the National Weather Service reports that severe weather threats are decreasing across North Dakota, with only a low chance for severe storms remaining along the North and South Dakota border today.
Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible across northern North Dakota tomorrow afternoon. Expected hazards include hail up to half-dollar size, and wind gusts up to 60 mph.
Below-average temperatures are expected throughout the week, providing relief from typical summer heat, with daily highs mainly in the 70s and overnight lows mainly in the 50s.
Residents can expect more comfortable conditions as severe weather risks continue to diminish across the region. According to Joshua Adam from the National Weather Service in Bismarck, the plan is to cancel the Severe Thunderstorm Watch shortly.
