Better weather is expected this afternoon throughout eastern North Dakota, as the rain and storms have passed.
Only scattered showers and mild wind are expected. Mostly-sunny skies should continue through the week, with mild temperatures in the 70s expected.
However, air quality continues to be an issue today with unhealthy levels reported in Fargo, Jamestown, and Bismarck. Smoke from wildfires in Canada and the Pacific Northwest are pushing into the area. Storms may again impact the region this weekend.
The Jamestown area has experienced nearly 25-30 percent more rain than average in July, according to the National Weather Service.
