Fargo Shootings Leave 2 Dead, 2 Injured – Police Searching for Suspect

Weekend shootings in Fargo left two people dead and two other injured, and police are still searching for a suspect in at least one of the shootings.

FPD says the first shooting happened early Sunday morning outside of the District 64 bar and club on north Broadway Street.  Police responded to reports of gunfire around 2:00 a.m. and found one person dead at the scene and two others with gunshot wounds.  The suspect could not be located.  One of the injured persons was taken to a hospital and is reportedly in critical condition Monday morning, while the other injured person had non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they are looking for 20-year old Tyrque Jones, and is asking for the public’s help.  FPD does not believe Jones is a danger to the public at this time.

A separate fatal shooting occurred in Fargo around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday in Fargo, according to police.   This shooting allegedly occurred on the 4700 block of 16th Avenue South.   Fargo Police said in a statement that they are unsure if the two shootings are related, but have not apprehended the perpetrator.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol and several agencies are assisting in the investigations of both shootings, and the manhunt for Jones.
