More construction will be impacting Jamestown this week.
While construction on Business Loop West near downtown has subsided, with all lanes open today…there is still extensive construction in the Southwest part of town. Drivers can expect delays as crews work on the I-94 overpass, and also to prepare for installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of 17th Street Southwest. The 4-way stop has caused significant backup and delays from downtown to the Interstate.
Additionally, the McElroy Park pedestrian bridge will be closed beginning on Wednesday. A new bridge is being installed that city leaders say will take approximately four months. McElroy Park will still be accessible on the North and West sides.
