Low Chance of Storms This Evening in James River Valley

After two busy days of severe weather, North Dakota is catching a break with much calmer conditions expected. There’s only a very low chance for isolated severe storms over the far northwest and southern James River Valley late this afternoon and evening.

Saturday brings a possibility of showers and thunderstorms in northern areas, but otherwise expect mostly dry conditions through the weekend and into early next week.

Cooler, more comfortable temperatures have arrived with highs mostly in the 70s to low 80s today and continuing through the weekend – a welcome relief from the recent heat and humidity. The National Weather Service says if we can make it through this evening, western and central North Dakota should see a significant break from severe weather.
