A new North Dakota Poll done by the North Dakota News Cooperative shows strong approval ratings for both President Trump and Governor Kelly Armstrong. Sixty-four percent of voters approve of Trump’s performance, though support varies by region – highest in Bismarck-Mandan and western North Dakota, lowest in Fargo-Cass County at 56%.
Governor Armstrong maintains a 66% approval rating, closely matching his November election results. The poll reveals interesting gender and party splits – 72% of men approve of Trump compared to 57% of women, while independents are more lukewarm at 55%.
Among the congressional delegation, Senator John Hoeven leads with 63% approval, while Representative Julie Fedorchak’s numbers have softened to 54% since her election. The poll of 625 regular voters was conducted August 4th through 6th with a 4% margin of error.
