The City of Fargo has released a report on dangerous conditions at a residential building, after several incidents involving the police and fire departments over the past year.  The owners will have a hearing with the city commission on September 2.

An apartment building on the 1200 block of 1st Avenue South has been the target of city officials after two major incidents earlier this year.  A fire forced evacuation of residents in July, with the cause of that fire still under investigation.   The Red River Valley SWAT team was called to a dangerous situation at the building earlier in the year.  Valley News Live has reported extensively on both of those incidents.

The City of Fargo said in a statement that the property has been classified as dangerous, and owners will be forced to repair the building or demolish it.

City officials also provided a report by city inspectors showing numerous structural issues including wiring, improper meters, and severe damage to the exterior and interior of the building.
