The historic home of Jamestown baseball is in the process of being transformed, and a milestone in the renovation process has been reached. The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce joined local officials to celebrate the grand opening of the new Gould Family Field at the Al Boelke Baseball Complex. The ribbon cutting marks completion of phase one in a multi-year, $4 million renovation transforming Jamestown’s longtime baseball home into a modern facility.
The upgrades include two new fields with turf infields, updated concessions and restrooms, paved walkways, and expanded parking. The field will host Babe Ruth-level tournaments drawing teams from across North Dakota and beyond.
The project received a $911,100 state grant plus local donations. While phase one is complete, fundraising continues for phases two and three, which will add more fields and batting cages. For more information, contact Jamestown Parks and Recreation at 701-252-3982.
