A 66-year-old Paynesville, Minnesota man died Wednesday evening after losing control of his motorcycle on Interstate 94 in Barnes County. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 5:55 PM as the man and his 39-year-old female passenger were traveling westbound.
The motorcycle left the roadway and continued into the median, according to the NDHP. The driver, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was killed in the crash. His passenger, also not wearing a helmet, was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Both victims were from Paynesville, Minnesota.
