Gas prices are up slightly in North Dakota heading into the Labor Day holiday weekend, but down compared to last year.
AAA reports that the average for a gallon of regular unleaded is up one cent compared to last week at $2.90. That’s even even with prices one month ago. Diesel is up four cents per gallon week-over-week.
Travelers are seeing prices well below where they were at during the Labor Day weekend last year, with regular unleaded prices down 35 cents-per-gallon, and Diesel down 15 cents.
The lowest price in Jamestown as of Tuesday afternoon was $2.83 per gallon. The lowest prices in North Dakota are in Ransom County, where averages for regular unleaded sit at $2.72.
Grant County is seeing the state’s highest reported prices this week, with unleaded averaging $3.47.
