North Dakota Music Hall of Fame Announces 2025 Inductees

Four new members will be inducted into the North Dakota Music Hall of Fame this year.

Chuck Suchy, a folk musician and songwriter from Mandan will join the Class of 2025.  Suchy is a farmer, with his Wikipedia page listing him at the state’s Official Troubadour.

Richard Torrence will also be inducted.  Torrence is a singer, songwriter, and musician from Bismarck who has been signed with Capitol Records, among other labels.

The band The Blenders, who originated in Fargo in the 1990s, will also be inducted.  The Blenders have a well-received annual Christmas tour and are currently based in Minneapolis.

Conductor and composer Lyle ‘Skitch’ Henderson will be posthumously inducted.  Henderson worked in radio, film, television, and had a recording career that spanned five decades.  Henderson worked for KFYR Radio in Bismarck in the 1930s before later coming the bandleader for “The Tonight Show”.

The Induction Ceremony will be September 28th in Mandan as part of the Dakota Music Crawl.
