Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner has fired Deputy Andrew Robinson following a criminal investigation into the alleged assault of an inmate, according to a press release. The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation completed their probe and referred the case to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. Sheriff Jahner says Robinson’s alleged actions were criminal in nature and violated office policies and training. The sheriff emphasized his department’s commitment to transparency and professionalism, thanking the BCI for their thorough investigation. Robinson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. The case now moves to prosecutors for potential criminal charges.
