North Dakota has been ranked the hardest-working state in the country according to a new WalletHub study. The Peace Garden State earned the top spot with nearly 98% employment—the third-highest nationally—and workers ages 16-64 averaging almost 40 hours per week. North Dakotans also have the 11th-lowest amount of daily leisure time and are second-worst at using their vacation days, with over a third leaving time unused. The state also ranks seventh-lowest for households where no adults work and second-lowest for young people not in school or employment, showing a strong work ethic across all age groups.
