The Labor Day weather forecast across southeastern North Dakota predicts a warm, humid afternoon and evening and possible scattered severe Thunderstorms tonight.

The National Weather Service predicts the muggy air will allow formation of storms across the central and southeastern part of the state, with impacts expected in the late evening to overnight.

Those storms could continue into Tuesday in the southern part of the state, with possible hail and high wind speeds.

Some parts of North Dakota may experience frost and freezing temperatures later in the week, with highs in Jamestown expected to top out in the mid-50s Wednesday and Friday.

The NWS also says that the extended periods of precipitation this summer have left the entire state now out of official drought stages.
