North Dakota Offers $7.5 Million in Grants for Autonomous Agriculture Technology

The North Dakota Department of Commerce is offering up to $7.5 million in grants to advance autonomous agriculture technology in the state. According to a press release, the competitive program opens for applications September 2nd, with proposals due October 2nd. Eligible projects include developing autonomous agriculture proving grounds, commercializing ag-tech innovations, workforce training programs, and deploying unmanned systems and precision equipment.

Who can apply?

Only nonprofits, public-private partnerships, or industry consortia with a permanent North Dakota presence can apply. Officials say the program aims to position North Dakota as a leader in next-generation agricultural technology while hoping to strengthen rural economies and workforce development.
