There is another road closure in Jamestown beginning today, with crews continuing heavy work in multiple parts of the city.
The City Engineer’s office says utility work is continuing on 10th Street Northwest, forcing a closure between 1st and 2nd Avenues lasting through Friday evening. The city says weather may force the work to continue into the weekend or next week until finished. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
Re-paving work is also continuing today in southwest Jamestown, with heavy crews causing traffic backups as early at 5am this morning. That work will continue through this evening.
Travelers and commuters should plan extra time to make it through those parts of town today.
