Fargo Police arrested a juvenile Saturday for making a school threat the individual claimed was a “joke.” According to information shared by Fargo Police, officers responded after a parent reported their child saw a Snapchat video showing what appeared to be a firearm, with the poster indicating they would bring it to school. Police quickly identified the suspect and recovered an AR-style BB gun from their residence. The juvenile was arrested on terrorizing charges and taken to juvenile detention. Fargo Police say they have zero tolerance for school violence threats, saying such behavior causes fear and disrupts schools regardless of intent. Parents are urged to discuss with children the serious consequences of sharing threatening content online, even as jokes.
