If you’re a fan of 9-man football, this week could be a good one in the state of North Dakota.
What a perfect way to entice some listeners in the area, to tune in to the Prep Sports Roundup on KSJB this coming Friday 7-10.
9-man, much like it was last year, is going to be a very top heavy class, with multiple talented teams crowding the top 5 including New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock, Lamoure-LM, Linton-HMB, and North Border. As well as the teams battling to crack the Top 5, Grant County/ Flasher, Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood, South Border, Hankinson, and Griggs/Midkota.
The Top 5 and 9 man in general could be in store for a BIG shakeup this week, when multiple ranked teams, will take on another ranked team, as well as some good matchups between teams with either undefeated records, or one loss.
Lets take a look at the LOADED Schedule heading into Week 3.

#3 North Border @ #1 New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock
(2-1) Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn @ (3-0) Alexander
#4 Linton-HMB @ #5 Grant County Flasher
As you can see, ALL teams in the Top 5, will be playing either a ranked team, or a team that holds a good record so far this season. How will this all play out? Will a team like North Border finally slow down the #1 Rockets? Can South Border, who hasn’t even received votes in the first weeks polls make an impression and possibly upset the #2 Loboes and get some recognition? Linton-HMB has also been dominant this season but has been riding the backburners of New Rockford and Lamoure, can they get a big statement win, and possibly some help from some of these other teams to perhaps make a climb?
