Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins signaled that the Trump administration may soon announce an aid package for U.S. farmers, potentially funded by tariff revenue.
Rollins, speaking to the Financial Times during President Trump’s visit to London, said USDA is reviewing markets daily and highlighted farmers’ economic struggles. She emphasized that the administration, has efforts underway to secure new agreements as U.S. farmers continue to produce record yields.
Rollins’ remarks came as the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) warned that farmers are on the edge of a crisis, citing a historic three-year decline in farm profitability driven by low prices and high input costs.
