Six graduate students at North Dakota State University have been awarded with the USDA National Needs Fellowship in Agribusiness and Data Analytics, a prestigious program aimed at preparing future leaders in agricultural economics and management. The fellowship provides financial support, advanced coursework, and hands-on research opportunities, equipping students with skills in agribusiness management and data analysis to address real-world challenges in agriculture.

Funded by USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture, the program emphasizes professional development, industry engagement, and leadership training. This recognition highlights the national reputation of NDSU’s Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics and its Center for Agricultural Policy and Trade Studies. By combining research, outreach, and education, the program prepares the next generation of agricultural experts to strengthen rural economies, shape trade policy, and drive innovation in U.S. agriculture.
