The latest USDA Crop progress report shows, Corn and soybean condition ratings slipped slightly last week, though harvest remains in line with five-year averages.

Corn dented reached 91%, with 56% mature, while harvest was 11% complete—slightly behind last year but on pace historically.

While soybeans were rated at 61% good to excellent, down 2 points. Soybean harvest stood at 9%, close to the five-year average, with Indiana leading at 12%.

Spring wheat harvest was nearly complete at 96%, while winter wheat planting advanced to 20%, just behind average pace, with Washington, Colorado, and South Dakota leading progress.

Weather continues to play a key role, with last week’s slow-moving storm delivering needed moisture for immature crops and winter wheat planting but also delaying harvest.
