Week 5 is here in the state of North Dakota, and we are making our way towards the back half of the season and playoff time. Now is the time for teams to kick it in gear if they wanna continue their season, and make a possible trip to Fargo and the Dakota Bowl.
Lets take a look at some of the games I’m paying attention to tonight in Week 5 of North Dakota High School Football. There isn’t a lot of EYE POPPING matchups this week compared to weeks before, but some could still line up to be really good games.
Class AAA
West Fargo Sheyenne @ #2 Fargo Davies
- We have a rematch tonight from the 2024 State Championship in Class AAA this Friday, both teams have held the #1 spot in the state but would both fall at some point during the weird AAA season so far. West Fargo Sheyenne is getting back into the picture and Fargo Davies is just outside that top spot once again. Who will win the rematch? Find out tonight.
Class AA
#2 Kindred @ Grand Forks Red River
- Another road test for the newcomer to AA Kindred, traveling to Grand Forks Red River who has been floating in and out of the Top 5 and receiving votes. Will Kindred continue to roll as they have been through the AA classification, or can Grand Forks Red River vault themselves into the Top 5 with a big home win this Friday?
Class A
#4 Park River Area @ Grafton
This is a sneaky good matchup in Class A this week. Park River Area has been getting a lot of looks these last couple of weeks and are rewarded with a #4 spot in the rankings, but they travel to a team that’s been REALLY under the radar considering. Grafton is a quiet 4-1 this season and could gain the attention Park River was getting with a win at home tonight, or Park River can keep up their impressive 2025 season with a good test on the road.
9-Man
#2 Lamoure-LM @ Griggs/Midkota
- The weekly question that has been yet to be answered this season, can someone slow down Lamoure-LM? The juggernaut hits the road this week with Griggs/Midkota in sight tonight. Lamoure-LM has passed every test on the road and opponent this season, and I don’t imagine it being any different this week, 3-1 Griggs/Midkota will need to withstand the first quarter surge of the Lamoure-LM offense and also play a perfect game tonight if they wanna hope to get a massive upset versus the Loboes.
