North Dakota health officials say COVID-19 cases are climbing.

The Department of Health and Human Services reports 130 new cases the week ending August 30, followed by weekly totals of 110, 111 and 98 through September 20.

During that last week, 25 people were hospitalized with COVID complications.

Health leaders warn respiratory viruses often rise in the fall and urge residents to stay current on vaccinations and boosters.
