Another week of high school football, another week of high school football polls. We had a slight shakeup, and are in store for a big shakeup next week, but more on that in a second. Lets take a look at the AA poll this week.
The Class AA Poll goes as shown:
- Minot North (-)
- Kindred (-)
- Grand Forks Central (-)
- Devils Lake (-)
- Grand Forks Red River (+1)
Also receiving votes in the poll was Central Cass and Dickinson.
So a slight shakeup which leaves me a little confused. Central Cass DID lose to Grand Forks Red River this last week I can’t deny that, but the Squirrels have only lost two games on the season and one of them was to a ranked Devils Lake team at the time. Red River, who started the Poll in the first position, has 3 losses on their record this season and has the 5th spot. Interesting.
We could be in store for a big shakeup this week however, we will have a two Top 5 matchups on the menu with #2 Kindred visiting #3 Grand Forks Central, and #1 Minot North will host #4 Devils Lake. How will these matchups play out? How far will each losing team fall in the ranking as we are a couple of weeks before the playoffs?
