ND Supreme Court Hearing 5 Cases Today

The North Dakota Supreme Court is convening in Bismarck today for a full slate of  hearings.

The justices are hearing a lineup of cases covering civil disputes, criminal appeals, and family law. In the morning cases take up criminal appeals and restitution issues. In the afternoon, the docket turns to civil liability and child custody matters.

One case on the schedule was waived — it will be decided based solely on written briefs.

The Court is expected to issue written opinions in the weeks ahead, with rulings posted online at NDCourts.gov.
