We had a slight shakeup in the rankings this week, as the game I was most paying attention to in Week 6, #2 Killdeer @ #1B Malta/Whitewater/Saco/Dodson of Montana, ended with Killdeer taking a loss, and jumping down slightly in the rankings, let’s take a look at the slight shakeup, and ahead to some possible shake ups this week.
The Class A Poll goes as shown:

- Velva/Garrison/Drake-Anamoose (+1)
- Killdeer (-1)
- Park River Area (-)
- Ellendale/Edgeley-Kulm (-)
Also receiving votes was Bottineau.
And right on schedule, as I had said throughout these rankings, there is Velva right back into one of the top spots in the state after the loss of Killdeer this last week. Velva was the preseason #1 in the Class and took an early loss and has climbed all the way back into the conversation. All other teams won handedly in Week 6, setting up a potential poll shaker coming in Week 7.
#1 Langdon Area/ Munich will travel to #4 Park River Area in a top 5 matchup. Langdon will look to continue their hot streak on the 2025 season, while Park River Area is enjoying one of their best starts in recent memory. Langdon will have a great test this Friday, in a potential playoff preview in a couple weeks. Other teams will have some good matchups that they will have to play a complete game in, #3 Killdeer will play another good team this week in 2-loss Southern McLean, and #5 Ellendale/Edgeley-Kulm will travel to Northern Cass who has 2 losses as well.
