Jamestown Man Charged After Allegedly Entering Home with Axe, Claiming Hells Angels Affiliation

A 48-year-old Jamestown man faces multiple charges after allegedly walking into a rural home with an axe claiming to be with the Hells Angels, according to the Jamestown Sun. Court documents say Shannon Dean Syverson allegedly entered a residence the morning of Saturday, Oct. 11th asking “where the girls were at” before leaving and returning. Authorities also found a stolen Bobcat at the James River Boat Club and a smoldering county picnic table on a burn barrel. An individual reported damage to their Can-Am on Friday, reporting to have spoken to Syverson in the roadway, who was wearing a ski mask and gloves.

Syverson faces criminal trespass charges (a Class C felony), unauthorized vehicle use and ingesting methamphetamine (Class A misdemeanors), damaging the individual’s ATV battery, creating hazardous conditions in the individual’s pickup truck, damaging a picnic table belonging to Stutsman County, and of causing $2,700 worth of damage to a garage door in a separate incident on Aug. 24th (Class B misdemeanors).

Bail was set at $15,000 cash or $50,000 surety bond during his Monday court appearance. The Sun reports that he was still in custody as of Tuesday, Oct. 14th at 2:15 pm. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 12th with a jury trial set for February 17th.
