Jamestown Police Department Receives Unsolicited $100,000 Donation

Clarice Liechty celebrated her 85th birthday by giving the Jamestown Police Department $100,000 through the North Dakota Fraternal Order of Police, according to Masaki Ova from the Jamestown Sun. Liechty, who previously donated $185,000 to the fire department for turnout gear, says she and her late husband Reuben always believed in generosity and sharing what they have with others. The unsolicited donation is another example of the Liechtys’ longstanding community support, saving taxpayer funds while improving officer work conditions.
