According to the Jamestown Sun, Rod Wilhelm, dealer principal of Don Wilhelm Incorporated, has been nominated for the 2026 TIME Dealer of the Year award, one of the automobile industry’s most prestigious honors. Wilhelm is one of 47 dealer nominees nationwide who will be recognized at the National Automobile Dealers Association Show in Las Vegas on February 5. Wilhelm, who joined his family’s dealership in 1974 and co-owns it with siblings Jeff and Lisa, was named Jamestown’s Citizen of the Year in 2024. He’s particularly known for hosting Huntington’s disease benefits for 14 consecutive years, raising over $225,000. Wilhelm has been open about managing bipolar disorder while running the business, telling the Jamestown Sun, “mental health doesn’t define your success – how you persevere does.” The dealership operates Chevrolet and GMC franchises with 58 employees and has served the Jamestown community for over six decades.
