The city engineer’s office says traffic control will remain in place until Tuesday, October 21, for a water main replacement project. Beginning Tuesday, the right-hand turn lane from Business Loop West onto 10th Street Southeast will close for about 7 days or until work is complete. Right-hand turns will still be allowed, but drivers will need to use the right lane of the signalized intersection to proceed east. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible to avoid the construction area. The water main replacement is expected to be completed by next Tuesday, weather permitting. Drivers should watch for construction equipment and workers in the area and follow posted detour signs.
