A hometown leader who once walked the same school halls as his students is now North Dakota’s Superintendent of the Year.
Andrew Jordan, Superintendent of Wilton Public Schools, has been named North Dakota’s Superintendent of the Year by the North Dakota Association of School Administrators.
The recognition was made last week in Bismarck by the Sourcewell, Core Bridge, and AASA national awards program.
Jordan graduated from Wilton High School in 1997 and later returned home to lead the district — first as principal and, since 2018, as superintendent.
He’s credited with guiding Wilton through a major facility expansion, new policy governance, and staff development focused on wellness and leadership.
Jordan will represent North Dakota at national education conferences in Nashville and Washington, D.C. in the months ahead.
