North Dakota State University (NDSU) Extension will host its annual Soil Water Workshop on January 21, 2026, in Fargo North Dakota, offering both in-person and virtual attendance options. The event is designed for producers, agronomists, consultants, and ag professionals interested in improving soil and water management in their operations.
Organized by NDSU Extension soil science specialists, the workshop will provide the latest research, strategies, and practical tools to support sustainable and efficient farming practices in North Dakota.
The day-long program will feature sessions on topics such as the state’s soil resources, fertility outlook, and nutrient management in barley, as well as presentations on soil health, tile drainage, and the effects of different nitrogen and sulfur sources. Attendees will also explore safety, stress management, and opportunities for farmer–advisor collaboration.
