Airports across North Dakota continue to post record passenger numbers, even as some data reporting is delayed by the federal shutdown.
The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission says more than 103,000 people flew statewide in September, a new record for the month. Fargo’s Hector International led the state with over 46,000 boardings, followed by Bismarck and Minot.
In Jamestown, August data showed 1,025 passengers, up nearly 10 percent from last year. New figures haven’t been released because the FAA’s reporting system is paused during the shutdown.
State officials say the trend points to continued growth in air travel across North Dakota, and expect grown in Jamestown once the numbers are released.
