Timberwolves Star Edwards to Miss Time with Hamstring Injury

By Ryan King Oct 27, 2025 | 2:48 PM

Just as the Minnesota Timberwolves 2025 NBA season began to take off, they will be missing the teams biggest star for the next couple of  weeks.

After going out with an injury in Sundays win over Indiana, Anthony Edwards was diagnosed with a right hamstring injury that will keep him out of action for the next couple of weeks.

Edwards will be revaluated  for the injury next week sometime. The Timberwolves who sit at 2-1 after just 3 games played will need to fill in the gap of Edwards being gone. Fortunately for the Wolves, the team has enough firepower to weather the storm while Edwards is gone for the moment in a season so young and early, including his running mate on the court Julius Randle,  as well as Jaden McDaniels, Donte DiVencenzo, and 6th man coming off the bench Naz Reid.

Minnesota will play in its first game without Edwards tonight when they host division rival Denver in Minneapolis tonight. Can the Timberwolves stay afloat without one of the leagues best scorers and playmakers?
