The National FFA Organization announced that its National Convention & Expo will remain in Indianapolis through the year 2040, extending the city’s long-running partnership with the nation’s agriculture organization.
The news came as the 98th convention has kicked off, drawing more than 71,000 FFA members, advisors, alumni, and supporters. FFA officials said Indianapolis has been an good host, offering outstanding facilities and community support that help deliver life-changing experiences for agricultural students.
The event, which generates about $40 million annually for the Indianapolis economy, has seen major growth since returning to the city in 2016. Visit Indy officials called the renewed agreement a major win for both FFA and the city’s tourism industry.
This year’s convention runs Oct. 29 to Nov. 1, featuring sessions at the Indiana Convention Center and other venues statewide.
