Prosecutors have charged a Tioga woman accused of stealing money from city funds.
State court records show 36-year-old Sara Wagner, a former employee in the Tioga Auditor’s Office, was charged Monday with felony theft.
Investigators say an internal review found missing cash and deposit records that didn’t match. A police report states officers later recovered about a thousand dollars in city funds.
Wagner is scheduled to appear in Williams County Court later this week.
