North Central Region Awarding Grant Funding For Sustainable Farming

The North Central Region – Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program, supported by the USDA, has announced four new grant opportunities for individuals and organizations promoting sustainable farming across the Midwest. The current grants are available for researchers, educators, agriculture professionals, and farmers interested in improving productivity while protecting natural resources on the farm.

The open programs include Research and Education, Partnership, Professional Development, and Farmer Rancher grants, with application deadlines in November and December 2025 with a A Youth Educator Grant Program also opening in January of 2026.

To support applicants, the program offers an online Grant How-To Video Series and offers access to state Sustainable Agriculture Coordinators who provide assistance throughout the process.
