Police say a handgun was fired Tuesday from inside a hotel room into the parking lot. Officers found several bullet holes in a window and recovered spent handgun casings inside the room.
The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, the Narcotics Task Force, and North Dakota Parole and Probation in locating people of interest.
Investigators believe the incident is isolated to a group of known individuals and say there’s no threat to the public.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Stutsman County Dispatch at 701-252-1000 and ask to speak with an officer.
