Three law enforcement officers were injured while responding to a domestic violence call in northwest Jamestown Tuesday night.

Police received a 911 call from a female reporting a male was physically harming her at around 8:07 p.m., according to Major Justin Blinsky. The caller was heard screaming for help and was only able to offer limited information before the call disconnected.

Dispatch was able to determine a possible location, and officers located the woman and suspect at a NW Jamestown residence. Upon arrival, the woman fled the house requesting help, stating the man had tried to “smother her” with a pillowcase. The “extremely agitated” man also exited the residence, refused to comply with officers and became belligerent, fighting with officers while attempting to flee, according to the press release.

During the altercation, two Jamestown police officers were injured after one was struck in the face and the other in the knee. One Stutsman County Sheriff’s deputy was struck in the head. The three officers were treated at Jamestown Regional Medical Center before being released.

38-year-old Dylan Jay Biloff was arrested on suspicion of three felony counts of assaulting a peace officer, disorderly conduct, and preventing arrest or other duties. He’s being held at Stutsman County Correctional Center awaiting formal charges.

The investigation continues with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office.
