North Dakota Representative Julie Fedorchak was among House members who voted 427-to-1 Tuesday to release unclassified Department of Justice records related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, though she did not sign the resolution enabling the vote. The only vote ‘no’ came from Louisiana’s Rep. Clay Higgins; his reasoning was reportedly privacy concerns.

The Republican congresswoman told the North Dakota Monitor that she supports transparency and justice for Epstein’s victims, calling the crimes terrible. Fedorchak praised the House Oversight Committee’s work releasing information from the Epstein estate over the summer and said she does not support a pardon for Maxwell, as reported by .

The resolution now moves to the Senate. Senator John Hoeven’s office said he supports releasing the documents “in a responsible way that both protects victims and provides information to the American public.” Senator Kevin Cramer’s office did not respond to requests for comment.
