North Dakota SNAP recipients are finally receiving their full November benefits.

Officials at the North Dakota Health and Human Services told The North Dakota Monitor that the remaining November SNAP payments have been issued, completing the rollout that stalled during the federal shutdown. Many households received only partial benefits earlier in the month, and the state finished loading the remainder onto EBT cards this week.

The Great Plains Food Bank reports that pantry traffic and emergency food requests jumped during the delay, and some families continue managing gaps left by the missed early-month payments.

Federal officials have not announced when states may require SNAP recipients to reapply under new USDA rules.  Agricultural Secretary Brooke Rollins has made numerous television appearances advocating for policies where everybody in the country would need to reapply, and the restrictions for receiving assistance would tighten.

North Dakota has not released guidance on possible re-application processes or what that may look like in the state. State agencies urge anyone unsure about their November deposit or case status to check their EBT balance or contact HHS directly.
