The University of Jamestown has had a big year – a $250,000 donation from Unison Bank helped create The Well Coffee Shop inside the UJ’s newly opened Reuben and Clarice Liechty Center for Faith and Life.
The coffee shop, which opened this fall, sits between Voorhees Chapel and the Badal Nafus Student Union. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows and serves as a gathering hub where students meet between classes, connect with faculty, and attend career center events.
Unison Bank President and CEO Kelly Rachel says the investment creates a space where students feel cared for, energized, and supported. The locally-owned community bank, founded in Jamestown in 1965, has a long history of supporting education initiatives.
Brett Moser, UJ’s vice president of development, says the generosity transformed the vision into a meaningful space for campus and community to enjoy for decades to come. The Well’s name draws from the university’s faith-based mission, symbolizing refreshment and spiritual growth.
