Health leaders are reshaping a long-standing North Dakota rural health conference for next summer.
Organizers announced this week that the Dakota Conference on Rural Health will be reimagined when it returns June 3–4, 2026, at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. The conference is an annual gathering for healthcare professionals that’s been held for more than 40 years.
Leaders are planning a revamped format with a stronger emphasis on leadership development, workforce challenges and innovation in rural health care delivery.
Registration is now open, with a deadline for presentation proposals set for January 9. Limited scholarships are available to help cover registration costs.
Organizers said in a statement that the retooled conference aims to better support rural communities by addressing healthcare access challenges in underserved areas.
