A fatal incident at a Wahpeton restaurant over the weekend remains under investigation.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office said it received an emergency call to dispatch around 1:30 Sunday morning reporting a shooting at the Fryn’ Pan Family Restaurant in Wahpeton. Deputies responded along with Wahpeton police and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The Authorities say the gunshot wound appeared to be self-inflicted.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The RCSO says the incident remains under investigation with assistance from the Richland County Coroner’s Office. No additional details have been released, but officials say there are no other persons of interest at this time.
