Multiple area universities are colleges will be celebrating graduates this week, while another has wrapped up the fall semester as students head into winter break.
Valley City State University’s winter commencement ceremony will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 in Vangstad Auditorium. More than 120 undergraduate and graduate students are expected to be recognized, and a livestream will be available for those unable to attend in person.
The University of Jamestown concluded its fall semester over the weekend. Students are now on winter break, with spring classes scheduled to begin in January. There is no December commencement for the Jimmies, with plans being made for May’s ceremonies.
North Dakota State University’s fall commencement ceremonies are scheduled for this Friday, December 19 at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex in Fargo. The university plans to hold two ceremonies that afternoon, recognizing graduates from multiple colleges.
The University of North Dakota will also hold its winter commencement on Friday at the Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center in Grand Forks, with separate ceremonies throughout the day.
