The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce has named Kyle Schumacher of Eckman’s Auto Service as the March recipient of the Customer Service Award, honoring his creative problem-solving and dedication to safety. The award was presented by the Chamber Ambassador Committee, after Schumacher was nominated for adapting a vehicle to a customer’s specific needs.
The customer said that a physical limitation prevented them from driving safely, and that Schumacher’s “creativity and patience” transformed a stressful situation into one where they now feel “safe and comfortable” behind the wheel.
The nomination said, “He listened carefully to my concerns and ideas, assessed the situation, and adjusted the accelerator pedal multiple times—each time asking me to test drive and give feedback.”
