Gevo, Inc. announced this week that it plans to essentially double production at its North Dakota ethanol facility. Formerly known as Red Trail Energy, the company is strategically shifting toward sustainable aviation fuel and carbon management, as reported by Jeff Beach from the North Dakota Monitor.
The Colorado-based company will add a second production unit at the Richardton site, which will be capable of producing 75 million gallons per year of low-carbon ethanol. Earlier this year, they announced an upgrade to the existing facility, which will increase from 67 to 75 million gallons per year.
