The National Weather Service has released total snowfall data from the winter storm that blasted our area last week.

Jamestown accumulated 18 inches of snow, the most in the state.  Pre-storm predictions of the heaviest impacts being in the James River Valley are held true.  Cleveland, Medina, Nome, and Fort Ransom all reported 16 inches of snowfall.

Areas from Linton to LaMoure received around a foot of snow according to the NWS, while lesser impacts were felt south of Bismarck and to the West.   Ashely reported 5 inches of snow, the same in Mandan, while Hazelton reported just 3.8 inches.

Forecasters expect more precipitation this week, with a rain-snow mix likely on Tuesday night continuing into Wednesday.

The worst winter weather is now likely behind us, with highs expected to rise back into the 60s by the weekend in Jamestown.
